Margot LangstaffMargot Langstaff, R.N., B.S.N., M.B.A.

Co-Owner

Harvard educated, a successful entrepreneur, and an Army veteran, Margot is a clinician, a builder and a leader.  Her career has been spent designing and starting successful companies that help people meet tough challenges.

Background

To help businesses succeed, Margot wrote a book on small business financing.  To help women with incontinence issues, she founded Women’s Health Corporation.
Her career also includes positions in sales and marketing in pharma and medical devices and she has designed medically based fitness programs

Defining Experience
After serving in the Army, Margot then worked in Haiti where she superviseded the launch of Haiti’s first modern operating room and outpatient clinic.  She lived in a school for handicapped children across the street from the presidential palace.  “During the day we treated the people of Port-au-Prince and at night we patched up machete wounds for the palace guard.”

What she learned from this experience
“You have to adapt to what’s there and take advantage of it.  We learned to provide up-to-date healthcare in the most challenging conditions.”

Qualities:
  • An innate ability to read people
  • Great sense of humor – which carries over into an ability to make virtually any task, even healthcare delivery, fun
  • An ability to see opportunity in any problem

Elisa HamillElisa Hamill, R.N., B.S., M.S., M.S.N.

Co-Owner

The architect of LifeHealth procedures and standards, Elisa is a problem-solver and a superb operations person.  She has the unique ability to synthesize a complex issue and scale it down to smaller, manageable parts.  Her systems have led to LifeHealth being the most professional wellness company today – and are a key reason why LifeHealth, a small company, has the capability to work effectively with much larger organizations.

Defining Experience
Earlier in her career, Elisa ran the operations of a major insurance company.  “I never had a job where I replaced someone.  I always created a new position.  That meant figuring out, not just what needed to be done, but how to do it.”

Background
In her insurance work, Elisa was instrumental in getting and – what’s harder – keeping major government contracts for Medicare, Medicaid and the Indian Health Service for Blue Cross.  She was also a technical advisor for the military providing healthcare coverage for the military and their families in the US.
